If you’ve decided that a web site is a necessity, you’ll find that it’s easy to choose a service to host your new site with. But what if you don’t know much about programming or don’t have the time or money to hire a web developer? With Bluehost, it’s easy. They provide a simple yet effective website builder that lets you create a fully functional website in minutes. If you’re ready to launch your site, here’s how to do it.
First, let’s take a look at how the bluehost website builder works. You’ll need a web hosting account (we’ll call that “your account”). On the front page of the control panel, click on the section called “Hosting and CPanel”. You’ll see two icons: one is the standard “hosting” icon; the other is a small arrow pointing right below the word “www.” Click the second icon, the one that says “oku.”
Now, if you want a more robust web site than just a blog, ecommerce website, or one simple sales page, then you’re probably going to need a web developer. Fortunately, this is easy to do, too. Just click on the icon again, this time, called the “develop” icon. A window will popup on your computer; click on the padlock icon to lock the page in its current state (it won’t unlock until you’re ready to unlock it).
Now, assuming that you have chosen the correct cpanel, login as your username and password, which should be the same as the one used for the web hosting company. Again, you’ll need to verify your username and password before continuing. On the left side of the panel, you’ll see a panel called “eks” or “email.” Select the “mail” icon, and then enter your email address. You’ll need to confirm your username and password to get into your account; otherwise, you won’t be able to access your account.
Bluehost website builder also has its own set of web hosting services. If you choose to use it, then you’ll need to select the “umatube” service, since this is basically the most up to date version of WordPress. The “umatube” service is relatively free, but it does have its drawbacks.
For example, cpanel web hosting services usually require that you fill out a long form that collects various information about you, your computer system, the type of web pages you’d like to post, and so forth. This is so the web hosts can keep track of all of your different websites and marketing materials. Of course, not everyone prefers to fill out such lengthy forms. Fortunately, there is an alternative: you can use the WordPress plug-in called “htitlelet” to enable you to create your own forms directly in WordPress.
One of the things I love about Bluehost is that it includes its own cPanel web hosts. All of the software provided by the panel, including the “htitlelet” plug-in, is 100% free of charge. So, if you’re worried about the quality of the website hosting service, then you won’t be worried about Bluehost at all. However, it should be noted that this hosting plan is only available for new customers.
Although it’s difficult to find any flaws with this great hosting plan, there are a few minor things that could be pointed out. Namely, it’s expensive starting at just under $20 per month. The bad thing, however, is that there are only four (4) hosting plans available at this time. You can’t move from these four plans once you’ve picked which one you want. For new customers who might not have a lot of choices, this might not be a problem.
